 The Boss Chick Dance Workout is a high intensity hip hop, dance hall, afrobeats fusion twerkout that will have you poppin, lockin, and droppin your way to a bangin' healthy body.  Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a comprehensive martial art that teaches self defense against aggressors whether they are striking, kicking or wrestling. We focus on teaching BJJ grappling techniques to subdue opponents without using punches or kicks. This method empowers students to not only maximize their defensive capability against a bigger and stronger opponent, but also the confidence in choosing a less violent solution.

INFRARED-SAUNA THERAPY

 Infrared Heat Therapy works wonders for your body and doesn't waste results! Sweat it out in our Power Fitness Chicago Sauna Room.  During your 30 or 60 minute sweat session, you are able to relax in a private room equipped with your own personal infrared sauna bed. Sweating is your body's natural way of staying healthy. Our infrared sauna bed is designed to give you a relaxing detoxifying experience through the use of infrared heat. This therapy can be so effective that you can burn up to 600 calories in as little as 30 minutes.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR INFRARED SAUNA THERAPY


BEFORE YOUR SESSION

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Most people do not drink enough water to begin with and now that you are using an infrared sauna and sweating, it is even more important to stay properly hydrated. Always drink plenty of water before, during and after your sauna session. Remove all makeup to allow your skin to receive the experience full benefits of the IR heat.

WHAT TO WEAR

 Lightweight shorts and tee shirt are ok. Swimsuits are better. 

DURING YOUR SESSION

 You may not sweat much during your first 2-3 sauna sessions. This is normal for many people, as they haven’t had a recent history of sweating, and it takes a few sessions to “retrain” the body to do what comes naturally. 

AFTER YOUR SESSION

 Place the towels you used in the hamper provided. Shower 20-30 minutes after your session.

The Waist Race Mini Challenge

Challenge begins October 21, 2019

T The mini challenge will run from October 21st - November 27th. The challenge includes an unlimited membership to Power Fitness Chicago! Meaning, you are entitled to come as much as you like with a minimum of 5 classes per week.I will verify class count by the Mind Body Scheduling System, and by you checking in on Facebook. Meaning if you don't register for class, or check in via Facebook I can not verify your attendance.

Listed below is the time line for the challenge:

  • October 21st - Weigh in #1
  • November 4th - Weigh in #2
  • November 18th - Weigh in #3
  • November 27th - Final Weigh in

Improve your child’s self confidence, attitude and level of respect. Our 8-week Anti Bully program for youth is designed to give your child an edge when he or she returns to school next year. Our instructors are experts on motivation, fitness and personal development in children. Best of all, your kids will love it. As a parent, you’ll be glad to know that we specialize in teaching children the important things in life. Skills such as respect, courtesy, honor, self defense and how to be a leader. What other activity can give your child this kind of advantage in life? 

Campers will participate in numerous exciting fitness challenges that will teach them more about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Boxing Fundamentals.

Other than the physical benefits of learning basic martial arts, like balance, flexibility, and body awareness, it can also help kids develop more self-confidence. The most important reason to introduce kids to basic techniques, however, is to help them learn to defend themselves in an emergency situation.

“Self-defense is important for anyone, including children, especially in today's fast-moving world where kids are more independent than ever, they ought to know how to protect themselves and look out for danger,”
